Memorial Day

Our day will be spent being homebodies...
We've got some projects we're working on, so there will be no couch potatoes here.
Last night Robert and I watched an amazing and sobering show on CNN called COMBAT HOSPITAL. Check the website out to see what it's about...truly amazing. If you don't have a loved one in Iraq, it's easy to brush it aside that on this very day- we have soldiers serving, giving their lives, while we bbq and do household chores.

It's sobering but I think everyone should watch it- to keep it a reality in our minds and hearts. We have a friend from church who is being deployed in a few days. The kids are going to send letters and care packages to him on a regular basis- it's the least we can do.

~*~* Blessings & HEARTFELT THANKS to those who Serve *~*~

Beautifully said, sweetie... and that show looks amazing. I think too many people (including myself) don’t take time to reflect what the true meaning of this holiday really is. We take for granted that we have the freedom to even have this holiday in the first place because of the blood from those who have sacrificed themselves to give us that freedom. I wish I could somehow personally thank all of them. God bless each and every one of them and their families. My heart goes out to them.

Thanks for taking the time to share this...we all live our lives each day without even stopping to think about all those people who are over there. It is great to realize how very blessed we really are...
